I am involved in an online scandal where a reporter published hearsay information linking me to a sex scandal, affecting my family and me. I want to know what rights I have to bring a suit against the blog writer, the author of the book the article is based on, and the large organization that spread this false information. How can I address this situation?

I'm a senior social work student interning at a state agency in Idaho. I was asked by my immediate boss if I was still interested in being a foster parent for a client under 18 who is now expecting. I consulted with the client's case worker, who agreed for me to take the client home for the night. The next morning, I was asked to turn in my badge and have no further contact with clients due to the client's accusation of me drinking and getting drunk while she was in my home, which did not happen. Is the agency or the university liable for what has happened, and what rights do I have as an intern in Idaho?

My 10-year-old son was pulled out of class by a teacher who questioned him about having a girlfriend, then threatened to suspend him, write him up for sexual harassment, and take his recess away, all because other girls in the class felt uncomfortable. The teacher claimed this made my son a sexual harasser, even though he did nothing inappropriate. What should I do about this situation?

We are being harassed by a neighbor who has made multiple false allegations to local authorities about our pets and other neighbors. These include claims that our dogs attacked his wife's horse, that our horse was down and we did nothing to help, and that our dogs were barking under distress. None of these reports have resulted in citations against us. Other neighbors have also been harassed by this person, who has blocked the road, falsely accused them of hunting, and prevented guests from passing. We feel uncomfortable and intimidated by his actions. Is there anything we can do to protect ourselves from this harassment, such as a cease and desist letter or a no trespass order? Are there other legal options available?
