On 10-17-16, my employer presented me with a Notice of Separation stating I was laid off in compliance with CUIC 1089. I received a final paycheck short of 8 hours and a 6-page Separation Agreement and Release offering a $7000 severance to be paid upon my signature within 21 days. The severance amount matches what my employer owes me for back unpaid hours worked since 2015. I feel I should not have to sign for money owed to me and am seeking a professional opinion on whether to sign the agreement. Should I sign the agreement for the severance, or should I seek legal action for the unpaid wages?

I have a court date next Tuesday to request the termination of spousal support based on a DV130 order and criminal protective order. My ex-husband's attorney is arguing that my behavior led to the violence and is asking for me to pay court fees. I want to review the paperwork and prepare to represent myself. Do I need to defend myself on the DV issue, and how should I proceed with my statement to the court?

I live in Colorado, but my husband works for a firm in California. We have a judgment against us and a NOTICE OF LEVY, which has frozen our account. I am filling out paperwork to amend the levy, as we are trying to pay off or settle the debt. The judgment is for $35k, and I have a "RETURN TO LEVYING OFFICER, DO NOT FILE WITH COURT" form with a Claim of Exemption. I was told they can't take all our wages, but I need help understanding how to fill out the form correctly and whether the money in our account, which is from wages, can be protected.
