My friend was injured in an automobile accident while working at his church, which he initially reported as volunteering but was actually being paid by his company. He has since faced complications and has been unable to work. We are trying to determine if we are past the statute of limitations to bring a case against State Farm for the workman's compensation and if there is a case regarding the paid/volunteer aspect.

I have outstanding tax balances for 2015 and 2016 and have not made estimated payments for 2017. I understand I need to make these payments for an Offer in Compromise (OIC) to be accepted. If I mail in the application with these outstanding balances, will the IRS definitely impose a lien on my house for the duration of the application process?

I live in Louisiana and owned a 2004 Honda Accord originally registered in Florida. We moved to Louisiana in 2014 and registered the car there. My son was ticketed for an expired registration in Ithaca, NY, in October 2014. He now needs proof that the car was registered in Louisiana to lift a suspension on his license. How can we obtain this proof of registration for 2014?

I was offered summer school work for $31 per hour via email, but in an impromptu meeting I was unable to attend, it was stated that the pay would be $15 per hour. I was initially told it would be 5 days per week for 7 weeks, totaling approximately 24 hours per week. I am located in Texas and this involves the Dallas Independent School District and an independent 'summer program' vendor/contractor. What should I do about this apparent bait-and-switch situation?
