I bought a lot in May 2005 and began building a house approved by the ACC. I bought an additional lot in November 2005. The Developer gave up their Declarancy before the homes were completed, and the new Board of Directors recorded new restrictions in February 2006 called Architectural Guidelines against all of the subdivision without a vote, much less 75% as required by the CCR's. The Board of Directors is trying to make us comply with the newer stricter standards, such as wood windows (aluminum was previously allowed), specific plants, sizes, specific plant beds around driveways, of which their own homes do not comply, and our loan does not cover these additional costs. Does Texas Property Codes define restrictions as anything recorded against a property, restriction, even administrative, etcetera?

I am the President of an incorporated roofing company with 36% ownership. The CEO, who owns 51% of the company, recently cut office staff pay by 20% and may shut down the business. He does not work full-time and receives rent from the company for the building it occupies. What are my rights regarding the potential closure, the pay cuts, and my role in the company if I am asked to leave?

An Alabama high school coach refused to remove a player from a game despite the pitcher asking to come out because his arm was hurting. The coach became irate and told his players that only he decides when they come out, leaving the injured player in the game. After the game, he told his players that anyone who told him during a game they needed to come out were off the team and could leave. My son is a good player and I don't want something like this to cost him his chance to play college baseball on scholarship. The pitcher was not my son, but it could only be a matter of time before it is. What should I do?

My mother is in charge of her sister's estate and the lawyer is telling her that she needs to sell everything. There are many family heirlooms passed down from generation to generation. How can she retain these items? The estate is shared 75% her and 25% someone else, and that person only wants a check.

My husband and I are going through a divorce and we have temporary orders. He has visitation every Thursday from 5-8pm. I have requested to switch this Thursday with Wednesday, which he refused. I have my sister visiting from another state and we planned to travel with my daughter for the long weekend. Hotel and airtickets were already purchased a month in advance. To change all the flight reservation and hotel booking will cost me close to $2000. I would like to know if I just go what would be the implication? If he files motion of contempt with the court what could the judge rule? How likely am I to face jail time out of one day missing a visitation that is only 3 hours? I missed one visitation previously but it was an honest mistake as got mixed up with the dates. I apologized and offered him an alternative date which he refused to take. So that was the only other time. I am torn in canceling my trip or taking my chances want to understand how bad this will be on me.

I want to use pictures, titles, and product numbers from my local wholesale store's website on my own website to sell their products. I'm unsure if this is legal and want to avoid copyright issues. If I can't use their content directly, what modifications can I make to be legal, such as altering pictures in Paint and changing titles or product numbers?
