I filed an Order to Show Cause (OSC) with the Civil Court of NY requesting that it vacate a judgment based on misconduct of the adverse party and their agents. I also requested that the Defendants be held in Criminal and Civil Contempt of court since the judgment was procured fraudulently. The original judge who signed the Order is out this term, and I have been waiting for my OSC to be signed for one and a half months. I was advised by the judicial assistant to convert my OSC into a motion, but I want it to remain an OSC and go in front of a new judge. How do I proceed?

A plaintiff was coerced by a postal inspector to make a confession of guilt, under threat of career destruction if he refused. This confession was used by both a U.S. District Court judge and an appellate judge to dismiss the plaintiff's case. The plaintiff is now seeking a rehearing en banc. What can the plaintiff do to overcome this situation, and are there any laws or court rules that can be cited to support the plaintiff's case?

Is risk of loss binding in a contract when used vehicles are delivered, especially if I signed a contract stating I will bear all costs until closing? My company sold a FedEx route plus two vehicles to another company, with a signed contract for $70,000, paid in installments. The buyer now wants to deduct $6,000 for repairs made to the vehicles. Can they do this, and what can I do about it?

A lady trespassed on my property, wouldn't leave, spat on me, and I hit her twice. Now there's going to be a warrant issued for my arrest. Why? Can I get out of this, and what are the potential consequences?

I was watching a friend's dog, a wiener dog, on the sidewalk facing west when the mailman came from the east and approached the dog without asking if it was friendly or if it bites. The dog, which was on a leash, nipped the mailman on the back of his calf, causing a small scratch with little blood. The postal service policy states that mail carriers should avoid contact with dogs. Now, the mailman wants to sue. What should I do?
