I had a commercial truck that was stolen, and I was up to date with my payments until it was stolen. I notified the finance company that I had filed a claim with my insurance company, Lloyd of London, which did not make the payment until seven months later. The finance company hired a collection agency that called me every day. I explained that I am waiting for the insurance settlement to pay off both trucks, but the finance company took the payment for the stolen truck and added $3200 in collection fees, now demanding an additional $4000 for the truck and $3000 for the collection agency. I had a verbal agreement with the finance company representative that the insurance payment would cover both trucks. What should I do?
