I am a teacher being investigated because I let an elementary student braid my hair during recess and another student massaged my shoulders when I said I was stressed. The mother of the student that braided my hair complained to the principal, and I was put on paid leave while a detective investigates. We need to know: 1. If we serve the Answer via email and post mail to the opposing counsel on time, do we also need to file it with the court to avoid a default judgment? 2. Can we file the Answer with our local federal court instead of the distant one where the case was filed? 3. If we can't file it locally, can we file it via fax or email since we're not set up on the ECF system? 4. Should we file for a dismissal of the case since it was filed in the wrong county? 5. Can we file a motion for a Change of Venue via our local court, mail, or fax?
