I committed the offense of Invasion of Privacy in Minnesota while a resident of Minnesota. I was granted court permission to move to Georgia in March 2008. I pled guilty in Minnesota in June 2008 and was sentenced in September 2008. I am back in Georgia and the Interstate Compact is being used. I have the local sheriff up in arms that I am not yet registered as a sex offender. I was not required to do so by Minnesota—it is not a registrable offense. Who is right and what do I do?
