I received a summons for a credit card issue and want to resolve it, but I've been unable to reach the lawyer or Citibank. I'm in Arkansas and have already found a solo suit who filed an answer, but I'm unsure if it was filed with the courthouse. I want to make payments to resolve this issue as soon as possible. What are my grounds under California state law?

My sister recently passed away, leaving no will. She was a widow with no children or other siblings. She left property in Pass Christian, MS, but died in California, and I live in Gulfport, MS. What steps should I take to handle her estate, and what legal processes are involved?

My sister, who has had her license for only 3 months, drove while blacked out drunk, crashed into a concrete divider, and then fled the scene with a guy from the bar who was following her. No other cars were involved, and nobody was hurt. The police arrived before she got home but were from a different town. She told the police she was too drunk to drive and got a ride home. What legal consequences could she face, and could this end up in her favor as there is no medical proof of intoxication?
