I shipped a UPS package to Palm Beach, FL, from a UPS store in Greenville, DE. The package arrived intact at the Riviera Beach, FL, UPS depot but was later found to be empty. I filed a complaint with the Riviera Beach police, who declared it grand theft. Can I use DE small claims court to recover the $11,700 worth of stolen merchandise?

My boyfriend and I are not married and are expecting a baby. He wants our child to carry his last name, but I was told that she should also have my last name for legal purposes, especially since we aren't married. I was told that if she didn't carry my last name, I would need notarized documentation to prove she is my child for various legal and practical reasons, such as traveling with her or taking her out of school. How would not having my last name in her name complicate my life, and do I need to carry her birth certificate with me for identification purposes?

I have an engineering business and performed a report that the client refutes as inaccurate. The client is threatening legal action and asking for solutions. Should I offer any solutions to him?

My car was illegally towed, and there were no signs indicating a no parking zone on that side of the building. I am in Nashville, Tennessee, and have taken pictures but haven't spoken to the business owner yet. Can I get my towing refunded, and should I go through small claims court?

My boyfriend took nude photos of another woman in his bedroom. I want to know if it's legal for me to take those photos and send them back to her home without saying anything. Her parents think she's a good Christian working late, and I'm not planning on saying anything, just sending the photos. Yes, it's vengeful.

I purchased a Simon security system from Safe Home Security (SHS) with a 5-year contract, which I was told I could cancel at any time. After losing my landline for 2 months due to road construction, SHS failed to monitor my home or contact me. I attempted to cancel the service, but SHS demanded over $500 to upgrade the equipment for internet service. SHS now claims I am still obligated to pay for the service they cannot provide, even though they have not monitored my home for 2 years. Is there any legal recourse to resolve this issue?
