I've been working for my mom's company since 2010 with the understanding that I would take over in 2015 when she retires. It's now 2017, and she wants to sell the company, offering to pay for me to become a teacher instead. I make the same salary as a starting teacher, and the company can afford to pay more. What are my rights in this situation?

I have a contract with a mechanic to replace and upgrade the engine and transmission of my vehicle, paid a deposit, and have not received my vehicle back after 4 months. The mechanic took out the transmission and engine on the third day, signed a contract, sent messages indicating repairs were ongoing, and set a date for completion, but now refuses to answer calls. I have messages showing deceit, made two trips to the mechanic, and nothing has been done. I have been lied to, treated rudely, and my reputation has been damaged. What can I do?

I am having to put my husband in a memory care unit. We don't own anything, but we do have a small IRA. He is going in on long-term care and self-pay. Am I doing it the right way? I am in Texas and have dual power of attorney on him. Our combined monthly income is $2,384.00 from his Social Security and $984.00 from mine, with a monthly dividend of $1,500.00 from the IRA. The total in the IRA is $440,000.00.
