Due to Peripheral Neuropathy, my job has ended, and I am no longer considered reliable for work that requires climbing, standing, or lifting. I am 57 with a high school education and lack skills for entry-level positions. I believe I meet all five criteria for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) approval and have documentation from my Neurologist and physical therapy evaluation. My parents, who rent an apartment in New Jersey, need to move to a first-floor apartment due to health reasons, including multiple falls and deteriorating health. They have asked their landlord to move them to the first floor at the end of their lease, but the landlord has not agreed. They have letters from two doctors stating their medical conditions and the need to move. Is the landlord required to provide this accommodation, and can they be evicted if they do not renew their yearly lease? Additionally, renters on the first floor are agreeable to switching apartments.

I have an employee who has a substance abuse problem. She is 18 and part-time. I would like to help her get help and know she will not do this on her own. I would like to contact her parents and discuss this with them as I am not sure they even know of the issue. Is it legal for me to do that?
