I am feeling that my attorney is reluctant to do things for me because she fears it may harm her reputation, even though what I am asking is not illegal. I feel that the attorney is not representing me with enough 'zest'. I do not want to fire the attorney, but I feel I am not being represented to the fullest extent. Is it a common conflict of interest between a client and attorney, and what is the best way to resolve these differences?

When does this existing patent expire, and can a US patent attorney review my design to determine if it is worth submitting to USPTO for review? How can I get a relative removed from a Psychiatrist hospital when the treating Dr. tells me I can not until he releases her? She went in willingly and in good physical health, this was supposed to be an evaluation to determine if she has dementia or if there is another type of mental problem. She has been there (Hickory Trails Hospital in Desoto, TX) since April 1, 2013 and is physically deteriorating. The family has not been able to awaken her for the past 3 days, we can only visit for 1 hour per day. At this point, we'd like to get her out of the facility today and take her to Baylor Hospital. Please advise.

I put a stop payment on a check for a car purchase, but the check was cashed by a check cashing facility. Now, the check cashing facility is hounding me for payment because my credit union won't pay it. Am I liable for the check?
