Christopher F. asked
I’ve had several strokes and want to rescind the power of attorney my husband has due to my first stroke. I am of sound mind and body. Additionally, I want to file for divorce and understand my rights to assets such as property, retirement funds, and alimony. How do I proceed with both the revocation of power of attorney and filing for divorce in Florida?

I have OCD and used to be a pharmacist. I am waiting for a hearing regarding SSDI in California. I have forms filled out by my doctor indicating I have either extreme or marked limitations in learning, understanding, remembering information and instructions, interacting with others, concentrating on and finishing tasks, and managing behavior, emotions, self-care, and adapting to change. I would like a lawyer to review these forms and assess if I meet the criteria for SSDI. What specific information would you need to help me understand whether I have a promising case?

My father-in-law signed a home repair contract with a contractor on 11/15 and paid a $500 deposit. The contract states the start date as 11/20 and completion date as 11/21. The contractor has not started the work, nor contacted my father-in-law to provide a revised schedule, despite repeated promises to do so. The contractor claims they cannot start due to a family emergency. My father-in-law wants to cancel the contract and is willing to pay the 21% 'Breach' fee indicated in the agreement, but wants to ensure they cannot force him to pay the entire contract amount. What are his rights and options?

In Florida, regarding a 'converted disposition' final judgment from a real estate transaction in 2005, is there a time limit for the plaintiffs to collect monetary value from this judgment? Does such a judgment carry an unlimited time frame? Is the losing defendant subject to paying this debt for their entire life until the total amount is paid? If there was a spouse to the defendant (not named in the case), would they also be subject to this monetary debt?
