I have a case in Federal Court for fraud. The owner of the company was released from prison and not allowed to own a business. He claimed the machine I had was his. After discovering the defendant's criminal status and business ownership restriction, I filed my suit. However, the judge has halted the case and will not rule on Summary Judgment. Is there any way I can get the judge to rule?

I have an existing employment agreement with my employer that automatically extends for successive one-year terms unless either party gives written notice at least 60 days prior to the end of the current term. In late January 2019, I received a letter stating that the agreement would be terminated on April 1, 2019 due to a change in the employer's business structure.
