My husband was charged with a DUI in Feb 2018 and has since been on probation due to missing court dates and failing to complete the ARD program. He is 63 years old, has a failing memory believed to be dementia, and is in no physical shape to go to jail. We are awaiting a court date and have an appointment with a neurologist and a rehab evaluation. Our attorney is unresponsive. What can we do to get him back into the ARD program, and is it possible for him to be allowed back into the program if diagnosed with dementia?

Can anything be done in terms of suing an employer in NY state for creating a hostile work environment that involves intimidation and demeaning behavior, even though it doesn't involve illegal discrimination? Additionally, if I was offered a severance deal to waive any future claims, can I negotiate for more severance by threatening to report workplace violations, and would this be considered blackmail or protected under whistleblower laws?

I have been communicating with someone claiming to be a military person in Kabul who says they don't have access to their funds and needs me to contact the Department of Defense to request a vacation leave, which I would have to pay for. They mentioned something about an MPI or transit permit. Does this sound legitimate?

In April, I was scammed into wiring $60K from my credit union account to an account in a bank in New York. The FBI says my money is gone, but my research shows that Regulation E may give me a chance to recover some of my money. Can you help me understand if Regulation E can help me recover any of my 'lost' retirement money?

I am the Director of Development for a nonprofit that has never had a privacy policy or terms and conditions. We collect personal information from visitors, donors, and financial donations. My Executive Director has asked me to draft a privacy policy, but I am concerned about my qualifications and the potential for continued information collection without a policy. I need advice on how to proceed, whether I need a lawyer to write the policy, and how to address this issue as quickly as possible. We are based in New York and collect information from people in California and internationally.
