My nephew took my car with a contract stating he would make payments and upkeep the car. He got behind on payments, and after one more chance, he abandoned the car in a parking lot, causing the motor to blow. I had to buy a new motor. Can I make him pay for the repair?

Regarding a Judgment Lien on a Defendant’s Primary Residence in PA, if the Defendants don’t pay the judgment and file for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy, is the Judgment Lien dischargeable? Additionally, how does the Homestead Exemption in PA affect the Creditor's ability to force the sale of the asset if the homeowner's equity in the house is greater than the exemption? If the Defendants are found jointly and severally liable, would they all need to file for bankruptcy individually? If they file for bankruptcy to avoid paying the judgment and continue their lawless behavior, can a subsequent judgment be made exempt from bankruptcy discharge based on their previous actions?

In a court case in Larimer County, Colorado, both the plaintiff (Borenstein & Associates representing Oliphant Financial LLC) and the defendant are ordered to attend a pre-trial conference and submit a Disclosure Statement prior to the conference. The defendant is gathering evidence to fight the claim and wants to know if both parties are required to submit the Disclosure Statement, and what the consequences are if one party fails to do so. Additionally, the defendant has read that if a debt collector fails to respond to a request for validation/verification of a debt, the debt becomes null and void under the FDCPA. The defendant seeks confirmation of this and clarification on the relevant part of the FDCPA.
