I know banks are required to report deposits greater than $10,000 to the federal government. Do I need to report this sale to the IRS, and if so, when and what is the procedure? I live in Atlanta and have had a rental storage unit in Columbus, GA, for the last 4 years. I called to find out why my credit card had not been charged for the last 2 months of rental.
