What are the benefits of holding a Florida investment property in a Florida LLC versus an NYC LLC, and should an owner living in NYC open an LLC in North Dakota for a separate investment property there? Additionally, if the owner sells the Florida and North Dakota properties and does a 1031 exchange, should they consolidate everything back to a NYC-based LLC for the exchange?

I want to know if I have a legitimate reason to file a complaint against a lawyer who prosecuted a family member's murder case. The lawyer, who is a high school friend of my husband, engaged in inappropriate Facebook messenger flirtations and allegedly propositioned my husband for sex. These interactions have caused me significant distress, triggering PTSD flashbacks. My family is concerned that pursuing this matter could jeopardize the upcoming appeal. I do not have physical proof of these conversations as they were deleted. What are my legal grounds for filing a complaint, and could it affect the appeal process?

I was assaulted by an officer in Colorado about 3 weeks ago. I filed a complaint with internal affairs, but I'm scared of retaliation. The officer in internal affairs is asking for pictures of my bruises, and he denies touching me. Should I send the pictures, and what are my rights if I face retaliation or false charges?

My friend in Green Bay, Wisconsin, has been evicted on February 19. The landlord won the case in small claims court, and it was deemed not appealable. The apartment has maintenance issues, and the tenant lost their job and has no other place to go. We have the money to pay the landlord, but she still wants the eviction. Is there a way to stop or postpone the eviction, and how can we ensure the landlord won't proceed with eviction if we reach an extension agreement?
