I have a tender bump under the skin on the front of my left lower leg near the shin. It's not red or warm and has slight swelling. It recurred in the same spot four months after the first incident, which lasted about 10-14 days and disappeared completely. I thought the cause might be a bug bite, but I'm unsure. I've been sick since before Christmas with a bad cough, malaise, and flu-like symptoms. After being diagnosed with pneumonia and completing a course of antibiotics, I still have a bad cough, am exhausted, and experience shortness of breath and heavy heart pounding with light activity.
