Every time I spend the day doing yard or housework, I end up with severe abdominal and back pain, burning when I urinate, and my abdomen is swollen and tender. Most of the pain is from the center to the right side. What could cause this? I have had a complete hysterectomy and also have a bladder sling which does no good.

I have had calluses on the bottom of both feet for years, particularly on the ball of my right foot and between the 1st and 2nd metatarsal area on my left foot. Recently, the top of my left foot above the 5th metatarsal has become swollen and tender. I have tried various callus removers and pads without success. I am a working ICU nurse with 12-hour shifts. What solutions are there for fixing the calluses and addressing the swelling?

My mother, who is 68, has a GFR of 45, down from 54 in October when she was in the hospital for a kidney infection. She was told she has a UTI, but that wouldn't affect her GFR, correct? She also has high creatinine and potassium levels on bloodwork done last week. Shouldn't she see a nephrologist?
