I have an ear infection and cannot see a doctor for a week. What can help with the sharp pain, especially since it kept me up most of the night? I am 76 years old, on blood pressure meds, thyroid medication, and dexilant. My symptoms include sharp pain, and I can hear okay with no drainage. I am not sick otherwise but do have a cough.

I have been experiencing throat pain when swallowing for almost 4 days, which is achey and burning. I have been taking Tylenol but it is not getting better.
