I am a diabetic with severe knee-to-ankle pain in both legs that prevents me from standing and walking. The pain started and progressed after a stroke about three years ago. I have had more infections this year than ever from cellulitis developing on my nose, which now seems to have recurred. My right side is pronounced with swelling up onto my jaw line and a bump in one location. I have been pushing myself hard this month with three kids and a husband traveling quite a bit, so I keep thinking I need rest. Can you advise?

On December 15/12, I experienced a sudden sharp pain on my left side while waiting for my grandson's hockey game to start. I could not sit, and the pain worsened, leading me to go to the hospital on December 20/12. I was confirmed to have a cracked rib, with difficulty in laughing, coughing, and sleeping on my left side. Chest and rib X-rays were taken, showing clear lungs and osteoporosis, but no other issues. However, I find no change in my condition except for slight swelling on my side and occasional feeling of a 'ball' on my side. Should I be concerned, or is this part of the symptoms?
