I am experiencing severe pain on the left side, a racing heart, nausea, and shallow breaths. I have had nausea most of the day, feel very thirsty, and have not seen a doctor. I’m asking about using a breathing machine indirectly for a 6-month-old baby diagnosed with pneumonia. Is it safe if it’s not directly on her? I’m not able to pick up her antibiotics until tomorrow.

We conducted a drug test on an adolescent today using Focalin, and the drug test was negative. I thought methylphenidate would show up as amphetamine in a point-of-care urine drug test. Is this a time-sensitive issue? What type of specimen are they testing? Anything else in the medical history that the Doctor should know?
