My ESR is high and always has been, but today's reading is the highest, and I'm worried about cancers. I had thyroid cancer this year, had my thyroid removed, and am on levothyroxine which has me suppressed. I did radioactive iodine in May 2023. I have anxiety, depression, PCOS, obesity (lost 65lbs in the last year), and a history of joint pains. My RA factor is positive, but other tests are negative. I'm 36 years old, female, and a rheumatologist ordered these tests today. What could be causing the high ESR, and should I be worried about another cancer?
