I have a few questions regarding fatty liver and medications. My doctor prescribed Tricor to lower my triglycerides and help my liver, but it makes me tired and hurts my stomach. I've stopped eating desserts, drinking soda, and limiting simple carbohydrates. I'm also taking Vesicare, Sertraline, Advair, and Protonix. My vitamin D is insufficient, and I'm taking calcium and 2000 units of vitamin D until my levels are up. Could any of these medicines contribute to fatty liver? Also, my TSH is fine, but I have symptoms that seem to be a thyroid problem. Is there a way to see if there is a subclinical thyroid problem? I'm overweight, 5'2" and 168 lbs. Could a hysterectomy contribute to a fatty liver?
