I have a multinodular goiter with nodules ranging from 1-5cm, including two large nodules at 5cm x 2cm and 3.8cm x 1.4cm. My TSH fluctuates between 1-3, and I experience symptoms like constipation, weight gain, and neck pressure, especially when lying down. I had an FNA on the largest nodule, which was solid and cold, and the result was benign. My doctor didn't elaborate, but I'm concerned about the possibility of malignancy despite the benign result. I also have elevated white blood count, neutrophils, and CRP levels. My questions are: 1. Can you explain the FNA report in more detail? 2. Could I have Hashimoto's disease? 3. Is there a risk of malignancy despite the benign FNA result? 4. Should I consider a thyroidectomy based on the nodule sizes and symptoms?
