My son has had open sores in his bum for 5 years, which have not healed despite seeing multiple doctors across Pennsylvania. The sores are stable but can worsen depending on how often he poops. He has a history of CMV virus and had his colostomy reversed at 8 weeks old. We have tried various treatments including antifungal creams, antibiotic ointments, stomach medications, and zinc supplements, but nothing has helped. I am struggling with tiredness, bloated stomach with occasional pain, feeling sick, and difficulty eating for the last 3 days. I also experience bouts of depression and severe social anxiety. I started Ciproflaxcin this past Thursday and am now using some old ones I had at home. Is this a good idea? How can I get a new referral to my specialists?
