I have been experiencing mucus buildup in my throat at night, which wakes me up and makes it difficult to sleep. This issue started after Thanksgiving and has remained stable with light, clear mucus. I've been experiencing anal pain for almost 2 years, which comes and goes, and it feels like a stabbing pain during bowel movements. I'm a 30-year-old male and have noticed occasional red stuff in my stool, which I initially thought was related to the red drinks I was consuming. I've been checked for hemorrhoids and anal fissures, but nothing was found. What could be causing this pain, and should I be concerned about colon cancer?
