I have been experiencing temporary numbness in the lips on the left side of my mouth and the back of my left thumb for 2 days, along with light-headedness. I had a double bypass 14 years ago. What could be causing this numbness and should I be concerned?

My 63-year-old husband, who was in great physical health, underwent a Whipple surgical procedure with no cancer found. He is three months post-surgery and experiencing bouts of being very cold and shivering, which last about 20 to 30 minutes and occur around three times post-surgery. After these episodes, he is very tired and has little energy for a day. Could this be due to a vitamin deficiency, or should I take him to the doctor for further examination?

I've been experiencing a random burning sensation under my right breast and sometimes in the middle of my stomach, both sides under my armpits where the ribs meet are sore to touch as well. I'm not on any medications and have had these symptoms for about 2 days. I don't have nausea, vomiting, or abdominal bloating. The left side of my rib near the breast is also painful to touch. Could this be endocarditis, and can gum disease cause endocarditis when I brush my teeth carefully and use a salt water rinse?
