I have had discomfort in my throat, including pharyngitis and laryngitis, for many years. I've had several laryngoscopies and need to clear my throat often. My voice is slightly hoarse, but I can easily swallow food without water. My hemoglobin was 15.95 g/dl three weeks ago. On June 7 this year, a laryngoscopy by an ENT specialist found no diseases. Is it highly likely that you do not suspect throat cancer?

I am experiencing blood in my stools, itchiness, and stabbing pain during the first push while pooping. The pain does not persist all day, but I feel itchiness sometimes. I have been seeing blood for 1-2 weeks now, and my stools are slightly hard. I drink about 1/2 liter of water a day and am unsure about my fiber intake. My mother has been diagnosed as a Hepatitis B Carrier. Her lab results from 2003 and 2013 indicate she is HbsAg positive, Hep B Sur Ab positive, and Hep B Core Ab positive, but she has tested negative for HBV DNA in 2019 and 2021. We are waiting for new lab results from August 2022 to confirm her current status. Can you help interpret these results and confirm whether she is currently contagious or not?

I have a question about my blood work results. My doctor was unsure how to interpret the TSH and T4 and diagnosed me with hypothyroidism, suggesting levothyroxine. I thought low TSH was hyperthyroidism given the other values. Do these values require treatment, and could my recent discontinuation of birth control after a decade of use be affecting these results?

I am 14 years old and have received 2 COVID vaccines. I recently tested positive for COVID and have symptoms including a fever ranging from 100.1 to 103.5, a sore throat, a stuffy/leaky nose, and coughing up phlegm with blood. Should I go to a doctor or the hospital?

My son has had open sores in his bum for 5 years, which have not healed despite seeing multiple doctors across Pennsylvania. The sores are stable but can worsen depending on how often he poops. He has a history of CMV virus and had his colostomy reversed at 8 weeks old. We have tried various treatments including antifungal creams, antibiotic ointments, stomach medications, and zinc supplements, but nothing has helped. What could be causing these sores and what further steps can be taken to diagnose and treat them?
