I have the sickle cell trait and my fiancée also has it. Is it possible to get married, and can the 25% chance of sickle cell anemia in each child be reduced through IVF? Also, if I took the test as a kid and had the trait, is it possible for the results to change as an adult?

I have a 1.2cm thyroid nodule with biopsy results showing follicular neoplasm. My doctor recommends a partial thyroid removal, stating that even if it is cancer, only a partial removal is required. I am on thyroid medication for the last 22 years and want clarification on why a total thyroid removal would not be necessary if it is cancer.
