I have had a productive cough for 3 days, using Ipratropium & Albuterol Sulfate inhalers without improvement. I have Amoxicillin at home but have not started it yet. I am a 65-year-old healthy individual with no fever. Is the cough constant or intermittent, dry or wet, and is there any chest tightness? Should I use the Amoxicillin, and if not, what other treatments can I consider?

My husband has a sinus infection and needs an antibiotic. He has had the infection for 5 days, has used antibiotics before, and has no allergies to medicine. He has lots of phlegm and mucus, pain in the sinus, and eats. He had a fever initially but doesn't anymore and is taking lots of over-the-counter medicine. He has yellow phlegm, a raspy and dry cough, no blood, no shortness of breath, sinus congestion, no headaches, blows his nose constantly with no relief, and has pain in his sinus and ears. He did have a sore throat the first day or two but not anymore. He is not allergic to any medication and has no other medical conditions.

I had day surgery yesterday where the anesthetic doctor had difficulty finding a vein for administration. The first attempt was unsuccessful, and the arm where the attempt was made is now very tender, sore to lift, and a bit rigid. Can I expect this discomfort to pass soon, and how long should it last?

I have an ear pain that’s affecting my jaw too. It pains a lot when I eat my food. The pain started 2 days ago and is sharp and stabbing, especially when I chew or move my mouth. I can feel a small swelling outside the ear. I'm 26 years old and have taken Tylenol for the pain. What could be causing this and what should I do?
