I have a sore breastbone, bloating, and coughing, but no chest pain. I've had these symptoms for a few months, and my allergies have been really bad lately. The cough is mostly dry, and there's no tightness in my chest. I also had a recent bout of GERD acting up. I had heart surgery five years ago, and I've been coughing and sneezing hard trying to clear my throat because I've been congested. What could be causing these symptoms?

I've been on Lipitor 10mg for six years and recently started feeling tightness in my chest and back. I've had a stress test, endo, and hida scan, all of which are normal. I'm wondering if Lipitor could be causing these massive aches. I'm a 37-year-old male with high blood pressure, treated. The tightness is at rest, not associated with dizziness, palpitations, fatigue, stomach pain, food reflux, nausea, or changes in urine color. The aches are primarily in my upper body, especially the chest and back, and have been ongoing for months. Some days are better than others, but Tylenol and ibuprofen do nothing to alleviate the pain.
