I've been experiencing swelling that comes and goes, with little to no pain, after following your advice for a little over 24 hours. Is this normal? Additionally, I have hypertension and take vitamin supplements. I am 38 years old and have had this issue for a little over a week. The problem worsens when I walk for long periods or stand for 12-13 hours at work, especially in cold conditions. I have an appointment with a doctor on Tuesday. Have you noticed any pain or changes in color or temperature? I tried Tylenol Arthritis as suggested, and the color changed, possibly due to my eczema. The pain occurs only when I am on my feet for long hours at work, and there is no change in temperature.

I have concerns about lung cancer and throat issues. I have had a clean thorax CT scan, normal blood counts, and no significant symptoms during physical activities. However, I experience throat clearing, occasional wheezing, and slight stabbing discomfort in the chest. My ENT doctor diagnosed me with chronic pharyngitis. Is it safe to rule out malignancy or serious lung disease, and are these throat symptoms due to chronic pharyngitis and GERD?

I have been experiencing diarrhea and stomach cramps for the past two weeks. I have tried Pepto-Bismol several times over the past two weeks, but it's not working. I used to take Cholestyramine for oral suspension, USP, which helped tremendously with my IBS. Can you prescribe me some?

An elderly patient (91) in relatively good health, who has never had diabetes, had a basal serum glucose exam with a result of 110 mg/dl, which is within the recommended range. She hasn't had an A1C exam. She was prescribed empagliflozin (10 mg daily). Is this indicated for this condition? Shouldn't they have recommended diet adjustments, exercises, etc., and the A1C test previously instead of just prescribing this medication?
