I was dusting my classroom and a lot of dust went into my face and nose. Can brain-eating amoebas float in dust balls and pose a risk if they float in cyst form? If they enter my nose, do they crawl up to my brain? Is it possible to get infected off of my finger or hand if I touched dust and then scratched inside my nose? What would be a risk situation from indoor dust to get infected from a brain-eating amoeba? How would they get inside on top of a machine? Is sparkling mineral water like Topo Chico a risk for brain-eating amoeba survival, especially if used in a neti pot? Can you elaborate on the brain-eating amoebas' environment and survival conditions? Has it ever been discovered in dust or just a theory? Is infection possible off of a finger into the nose? Is sparkling mineral water (Topo Chico) water that would be risk for brain-eating amoeba surviving in, a family member accidentally used it in neti pot and I’m severely feared of the amoeba so I freak out , the company says it’s purified by physical processes , that doesn’t sound good enough to catch the amoeba.
