I have been diagnosed with Lyme Disease and prescribed Doxycycline Hyclate 100mg cap 2x a day for 42 pills. My doctor says that once I finish the medication, I will be cured and that there isn't an antibiotic that Lyme disease is resistant to. Is this true? Will I be cured? Will the symptoms recur? I am a healthy 63-year-old female who was bitten by a tick two summers ago, but I had no symptoms until now.

I am experiencing a severe burning sensation in my colon after bowel movements (BMS). There is no blood, and it is not due to hemorrhoids.
