I also have a neck fracture (C7) pressing against the spinal cord and multiple spinal issues (L3-4, L5-6). I am currently on antibiotics (Levaquin) and have been advised to continue pre-op exercises. How long does it take for opioids, specifically Morphine-based drugs, to reduce their side effects when the dosage is cut in half? I reduced my dosage by half in February 2014, and I believe it can take up to 6 months for the side effects to reduce once the amount has been significantly reduced. Is this correct?
