My 14-year-old son injured his ear while using a q-tip to clean it, resulting in a popping sound, pain, and blood on the q-tip. The local health clinic nurses saw his eardrum and said it was intact, but we are unsure what else could have been damaged. We are scheduled to fly home soon and need to know if it's safe for him to fly, what precautions to take, and what other potential injuries could explain his symptoms.

Earlier today, I experienced a runny nose, altered taste perception with Gatorade and donuts, fatigue, and diarrhea that was green despite not eating anything green recently.
