My husband is having abdominal cramps and diarrhea. He started feeling very bloated after eating fast food two days ago, followed by massive diarrhea with visible blood, profuse sweating, and a feeling of passing out. His blood pressure was 106/60. He is 53 years old, on Lisinopril 40mg PO QD and Gabapentin 300 mg PO TID as needed for pain due to a displaced disc. He has not eaten solid food for two days and is experiencing small amounts of watery diarrhea and cramps after drinking fluids. He has internal hemorrhoids and believes it is food poisoning. What should we do?

I recently tapered off gabapentin after being on it for a year, then restarting it three months ago under my psychiatrist's supervision. I was on 600mg once a day and tapered down to 300mg before stopping two weeks ago. Now, I'm experiencing severe depression and anxiety. I'm concerned about weight gain if I reinstate the medication and want to know how quickly symptoms might subside if I do, and how long withdrawal symptoms might last if I don't.
