My nephew was diagnosed with Lyme disease. He is 37 years old, married with three children, and is currently taking IV PRIMAXIN 1.5 grams twice daily for six days a week, costing $2,000 per week, which his insurance won't cover. He has lost his job and is experiencing severe headaches, muscle, and joint pain. Are there any less expensive treatment options or ways to reduce the cost of his current medication?

I have been taking Abilify, which has significantly reduced my severe anxiety and depression, but I have rapidly gained weight and feel bloated. I have trouble exercising due to a bad hip and low back. Is there anything I can do to manage my hunger and weight gain without stopping Abilify?

I went in for a left hip MR arthrogram and found a 3-4 cm fibroid along the superior and left side of the uterus, as well as a fairly large cystic focus in the left ovary measuring approximately 4 cm with at least two septations. What does this mean, and what should I do next?

I would like to share a scenario and have someone let me know if I am at any risk for HIV transmission. I met a guy who wanted to sleep with me, but I said no. He touched himself while clothed and then touched the top of my vulva briefly. He also kissed and sucked my breasts without biting, and jerked off in my presence without any semen near me. I stroked myself afterward. Am I at risk for HIV or any other sexually transmitted infections (STIs) from this encounter?

Three days ago, I started noticing my right leg is swollen under the kneecaps and above the ankle. The swelling comes and goes. I started taking iron pills four days ago and noticed my stool is black. I am also taking blood pressure pills and am overweight. What could be causing this and what should I do?

I have fluid in one ear that may be a residual effect of an upper respiratory infection, and I recently experienced vertigo. I was diagnosed with benign positional vertigo two years ago and tried a self-administered procedure for it, but the vertigo remains. What should I do?
