I got food stuck in my throat a couple of days ago and was able to get it down, but since then, my lower throat hurts intermittently and it hurts to swallow. The pain worsens when I try to drink or eat, and it also hurts after eating for about 20 minutes before subsiding. Additionally, the pain occurs when I lay down. This is the first time I've experienced such after-effects from food getting stuck in my throat, even though it has happened a few times before.

My husband is 42 and was diagnosed with hypothyroidism about 2 years ago. He is on unithroid 112mcg and gets checked every 3 to 6 months, but he still isn't feeling well. He has symptoms like high blood pressure, fatigue, brain fog, memory loss, low testosterone, and is on cholesterol meds.
