My throat always feels tight when I talk, making it difficult to project my voice and causing it to sound quiet and dry. It feels almost as if my throat is closing in on itself and choking me out when I talk. This is consistent throughout the whole day after only talking for a couple of minutes in the morning. It's something I've noticed over the last couple of years, and I'm 22 years old with no medications or health issues. What could be causing this and what can I do about it?

I am experiencing GERD and difficulty swallowing, with a sensation of a lump in my throat. I had an endoscopy 4 years ago that showed an ulcer, but I don't want to undergo another endoscopy due to cost. I am currently taking Prilosec twice a day, but there hasn't been much improvement despite a strict diet. I am 57 years old and had a cough that has improved, but I have noticed some weight loss.
