I am not getting my periods on time and it’s been more than three months. My last period began on the 16th of September. I am 25 years old and not taking any medication, vitamins, or related supplements. My periods have been irregular since 2019, with a brief recovery in 2021. I am not using any contraceptives and am not sexually active. I am worried about my health as it’s affecting my face skin, causing acne. What could be causing this and what tests or examinations should I undergo?

My period ended a week ago and today I had a little bit of spotting, which has never happened before. I started using contraceptive a month ago. The spotting is stable. I had sex during the past few days without the contraceptive's protection. I've been trying to get pregnant for a year before starting contraceptives. I'm on birth control and experiencing very light bleeding a week before my period for the past few days, with occasional small clots that don't stain my underwear or pad. I'm also experiencing mild cramping and minimal bleeding, mostly noticeable when I pee and wipe. This is my first time on birth control, and I've been on it for 19 days.
