I took Monistat 3 to treat a yeast infection, and on the second day, my discharge turned slightly pink, and on the third day, I started spotting. It's been four days of bleeding, not as heavy as a period but heavier than spotting, with severe cramping. My last period was just over a week ago. What could be causing this and what should I do?

I'm on birth control and experiencing very light bleeding a week before my period for the past few days, with occasional small clots that don't stain my underwear or pad. I'm also experiencing mild cramping and minimal bleeding, mostly noticeable when I pee and wipe. This is my first time on birth control, and I've been on it for 19 days.
