My husband is currently out of the country, and I want to have regular periods naturally without birth control. What can be done to help me achieve this?

I'm scared I'm pregnant. I'm using the barrier method, specifically condoms, and I'm 8 days late on my period. I've been experiencing cramps and sore breasts for the last few days. My periods haven't been regular since I was a kid, and I've recently been on antibiotics for an upper respiratory infection. I get scared about the idea of getting pregnant every time I have sex, even though it's always protected.
