I was at the doctor today with a suspected UTI. I went into the bathroom to give a urine sample. I am anxious about public restrooms, so I checked thoroughly and the bathroom was clean. I put the sample in a cup and was cleaning up when I saw something in the toilet and touched it to see what it was, realizing it was a blood clot. I am nearly certain this came from me due to some bleeding. If this was from someone else and I touched it, is there any risk of HIV exposure? I have dental work and a steroid shot for hip arthritis in the coming weeks and need to be sure I am not exposing anyone to anything.

My daughter has been experiencing non-stop bleeding due to cysts, requiring her to change a multi-layer undergarment pad several times a day. She also feels incredibly painful cramps and passes thick blood clots. She is 23 years old, has been dealing with this for about 3-4 years, and has a history of two miscarriages, an abortion, and egg extraction. She claims to have had a badly done DNC or DMC. What could be causing this and what should be done?

I’m pregnant and stopped taking birth control, which caused me to have a period even though I’m pregnant. The doctor said it’s normal unless I’m bleeding through two pads in an hour or two, but I feel like I’m bleeding heavier than normal. I have an appointment on Monday but I’m worried.

I recently discovered I am pregnant and had been consuming a significant amount of alcohol nightly before realizing. I am now 6 weeks into pregnancy and extremely concerned about potential harm to the baby. Will alcohol have done damage from day 1 of pregnancy or until the umbilical cord is fully developed and connected to the mother's blood stream?

My mother-in-law has recently been diagnosed with fibroids and a small tumor in her uterus. She has been losing a lot of blood and needed a transfusion. We are waiting for biopsy results. My husband is worried about the worst-case scenario. How long has she had the fibroids, is her condition stable, and what medications is she on? She is 45 years old, lives in Turkey, and has a history of being healthy except for this issue. She has four children and is of normal weight, but she smokes.
