The pain is severe on both sides under my stomach, and there's no discharge or fever, but I have had blood clots with a pink to dark red/brown color. What should I do?

She has been experiencing occasional lower abdominal pain, described as sharp period-like pain, which has been occurring since before switching to immediate release metformin. The pain is intense (around 9/10) and lasts for about 30 seconds, occurring once every couple of days. Is this something to be concerned about, considering metformin's rare complications?
