I’m in the 4th week after a surgical abortion at 15 weeks gestation. I’m experiencing random heavy flows of blood that soak a pad within a few minutes. Is this normal? Additionally, I’m on the pill, and my first sugar pill is tomorrow. I've been heavily bleeding with large clots for 4 days, changing pads every 45 minutes to an hour. I'm using overnight pads. I experienced heavy bleeding in March from IUD removal, but it wasn't clotting and never this heavy. My last pap test or pelvic exam was approximately 3 years ago.
