Our business's fiscal tax year ends in June 2019 and started last year. If we want to produce commercials or motion pictures, there is a minimum amount of $145 per year specifically for Los Angeles Business tax. Could we possibly send them a check with the filled in application for the business tax certificate? Or should we wait for a bill from them? Our gross is zero, but do we write due $145? We have not conducted business yet, no income. What should we do?

I have been unemployed all of 2012 due to an injury caused by a slip and fall accident. I had to withdraw funds from my IRA to pay for basic expenses and incurred significant medical expenses, including high COBRA premiums. Is there any special tax deduction or exclusion I could use in this case, and how do I claim them using TurboTax Home & Business?

I received a letter from the IRS stating that I did not file my 2017 taxes. This is the first time I am using efile. I have a W2 for 2016. Would I be using 2017 software to file? How do I find out on the IRS website which tax years have been filed?
